Wow. Really interesting. Be great to get a full transcript or audio/video file.

I'm personally fascinated by how the 'management team' continue to fit into this model because they seem to be still there and happy to nurture/encourage/assess.

I ought to know. But is it privately owned? Is there a board/investors to be sated?

Fascinating stuff. Made me wonder if building companies where people are happy and fruitful like this is less about democracy/employee engagement than we might have thought (important though those things are) and more about making space for individual's creativity to blossom. Hmm.

@Dan - Meetup.com is currently privately owned but VC backed so they do have to keep investors happy. They said it causes raised eyebrows when they tell investors that they don't have a product roadmap (because the product is continually developed in a decentralised way) but that overall their investors appreciate the benefits of the culture.

@Alistair - I would say that giving an individual space for their creativity to blossom is absolutely a democratic principle (as opposed to being a cog in a big machine, or whipped into line by a command and control structure.) - so really it's part of the same thing.
