Is there a financial incentive for this approach? I've wondered about the comparative costs of inhouse vs outsourced design and creatives?

The main benefit of partnering with a specialist is that both agencies can keep their focus on the things they're really good at, avoiding being a Jack of All Trades Master of None whilst still delivering the complete project as required by the client. This reduces the risk for everyone involved. It's hard to quantify the value of increased/decreased risk (until you bite off more than you can chew, lose money, and wish you had called in a specialist!)

4uajS1 Kudos to you! I hadn't thought of that!
